STRATFORD’S FREE SUMMER LINE-UP EXPANDED
Many Festivals, One Town
When Festival Stratford began in 2005 as the Stratford Summer Theater Festival, it was with a vision that the many groups in town producing events would join together for a town-wide festival. That year the festival promoted more than forty theatre events in Stratford. The following year, many of the events consolidated to the grounds of the Shakespeare Theatre.

Free Concert August 21st, 3-9 pm at Short Beach
Mayor John A. Harkins is pleased to announce the First Annual “Blues On The Beach” free concert festival. The event will be held from 3PM to 9PM on August 21st at Short Beach Park on Dorne Drive in Stratford.
“At a time when Stratford families have to cut back on leisure expenses, I am pleased that we are able to offer an afternoon of sun, sand, and great music free of charge to residents,” said Mayor Harkins. “In addition, this is an excellent opportunity to come together as a community and showcase the treasure that is Stratford’s Short Beach Park. I encourage everyone to join me at the beach on Saturday, August 21st, for an event I hope to make annual tradition.”
Blues on the Beach is sponsored by the Office of the Mayor and made possible by the generous support of private businesses and individual donors, and will include performances by: 13th Alibi, The What Up Funk Band, and The Christ D’Amato Band.

The Festival at the Shakespeare Theatre is proud to release its line-up, which includes:
